The Supreme Court on Tuesday, reserved its judgment in the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, David Ombugadu, challenging the election victory of Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Governor of Nasarawa State.

The five-member apex court panel, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, declared the decision after concluding final submissions from the involved parties.

The appeal seeks to overturn the November 23, 2023, Court of Appeal judgment, which overturned the earlier ruling of the election tribunal, leading to the removal of Governor Sule .

The Court of Appeal had determined that the tribunal relied on legally inadmissible evidence in nullifying Sule’s election and declaring Ombugadu as the victor of the March 18 governorship election.

The Court said it would notify parties involved of the date of judgment.
