Quality regulators, cement dealers, block makers and government representatives have rated Dangote Cement the best in Africa.
Speaking on Tuesday at a workshop, Muhammad Garba Kwali, representative of Kano State government, said that Dangote Cement is not only the biggest company but produces the best quality in Africa. Kwali described the company as socially responsible and also gives back to the society through the sensitization workshop and creating various platforms for educating end-users to mitigate the incessant building collapse in the country.
Also, Albert Wilberforce, regional director, Kano Directorate, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), urged block industries to patronise quality cement produced by the Dangote, pointing out that SON was partnering with the company and ensuring that only quality cement is produced by the company.
In a related development, Hauwa Husseini, Kano State coordinator of SON, has equally urged the block molders to comply with standards in order to prevent the menace of collapsed buildings in the country.
Also, Aliyu Dan-Aliyu, regional sales director for North West, urged participants to be good ambassadors by telling their customers about the quality of the cement.

“The artisans and block makers are central to the cement delivery value chain, hence we want to assure you that we will continue to have such interactive sessions, going forward, knowing it will serve as a feedback mechanism for us in the Dangote Cement Plc”, Dan-Aliyu said.
The stakeholders who attended the meeting also said the ongoing nationwide workshop and sensitization of block manufacturers will help check the menace of collapsed buildings in the country.
Johnson Olaniyi, coordinator, National Artisan Association of the company, disclosed that the aim of the sensitization was to make people know about the attributes of the product, saying the workshop would give the block makers and allied product manufacturers the opportunity to build capacity and adhere to global best practices.
Olaniyi said the workshop would help tackle the problem of collapse building by engaging the manufacturers, and builders on standards.
Umar Faruq Musa, chairman, Kano State Block Mullets and Allied Manufacturers Association, who spoke on behalf of the participants, commended Dangote for coming up with the programme , adding that it will go a long way to educate its members on measures, mixing and others.
