Over 5000 will benefit from Africa’s largest hackathon which will be hosted by Africa’s first and biggest blockchain bank, Xend Finance which kicked off on September 21 and will run till December 25, 2021.
With up to one million dollars up for grabs, the hackathon has attracted thousands of developers around the world, and several individuals have already begun to benefit.
The hackathon is just another right step in the direction of Xend Finance’s ultimate goal which is to accelerate the adoption of blockchain solutions in Africa and beyond.
The hackathon has invited companies and individuals from around the world to build on Xend Finance’s flexible layer-2 DeFi infrastructure and stand a chance to win cash prizes, Xend tokens, follow-on investments from our venture partners, grants, follow-on marketing, consultation and advisory services with deck, white-paper, tokenomics, and exchange listing all grossing up to one million dollars.
So far, different workshops have been held to equip the developers with the tools needed to excel in the hackathon. The virtual workshops attracted industry bigwigs like the Etienne VantKruys, Aniedi Udo-Obong, Eric Chen, Simon Hu and several others.
Credit to the partnership with over 100 university and developer communities like the Dora Hacks Community, over five thousand individuals have been able to benefit from the workshops.
Each workshop session featured a question-and-answer segment which created a series of opportunities for active attendees to win prizes.
It has been over two months and several developers have made impressive progress, and even more, people have already begun to benefit from the Xend Finance hackathon. Interestingly, lots of benefits are yet to be unlocked and several prizes are yet to be won.
Xend Finance is propagating the development of unique DeFi solutions to cater for the needs of the African market and serve existing users more effectively and the hackathon is further solidifying the quest and bringing it to fruition.
