House of Reps: APC wins Ikeja, Eti-Osa federal constituencies

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday declared James Faleke, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, the winner of Ikeja federal constituency in the House of Representatives election of March 28. INEC returning officer, Dele Ashiru, made this declaration at about 6a.m. at the end of the collation of the results on March 30 at the Central Primary School, Ikeja GRA. According to him, APC scored the highest number of votes to emerge the winner.

“‘I confirm that the election was contested and the candidates received the following votes: “Honourable James Faleke of All Progressives Congress received a total of 33, 375 votes. “Funmilola Olaniyi of the PPA received 50 votes and Eng. Olakunle M. Okunola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 25, 447 votes. “That Honourable James Abiodun Faleke of the All Progressives Congress, having satisfied the requirement of the law and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” he said.
