GSSS Toro’s Class 1984 hails Gov Bala for appointing Ketkukah as commissioner

The 1984 set of the Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Toro Alma-Mater, yesterday, expressed their appreciation to Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir, governor of Bauchi State, for appointing Titus Saul Ketkukah, a civil engineer, professor and one of them, to head the Ministry of Works and Transport.

In a courtesy visit held at his Abubakar Umar Secretariat office, Dalladi Sadiq Abubakar, chairman, 84 Set, described the appointment of Ketkuka as well-deserved.

The chairman, who was represented by Aminu Aliyu Gital, general manager, Bauchi State Urban Water Supply and Sewage Corporation, expressed the forum’s position at a reunion of its alma mater members held at the commissioner’s office.

He begged Professor Ketkukah to keep the flag flying higher and to maintain the status of the alumni as one of the best in Bauchi State.

He acknowledged the capacity of the commissioner to bring a positive impact on the governor’s infrastructural development policies in the state.

The chairman urged the commissioner to remain focused so as to represent a great ambassadorial status for the GSSS Toro alumni and Class ’84 set in particular.

In their separate remarks, the alumni members, Dungus Daniel, Kapson Barde and others, indicated that the reunion was filled with shared memories and mutual aspirations for the unity and uplift objectives of establishing the GSSS Toro Class ’84 Alma mater.

According to them, for the first time, the Bauchi Ministry of Works has a professional and professor of Civil Engineering as a commissioner, commending Governor Bala for the foresight to bring professional hands in the governance.

In his response, the commissioner Ministry of Works and Transport thanked his friends and members of the GSSS 84 for the congratulatory visit, describing it as a surprise.

The commissioner applauded Governor Bala’s proactive approach in reversing the road infrastructural development gaps, a deliberate effort to improve the socioeconomic life of the people in Bauchi State.

The ’84 set of the Government Science Secondary School Toro presented a congratulatory banner, a certificate and the memory pictures of the alma mater members to the commissioner.
