Droomwork, said to be a leading tech talent acquisition and human resource company, now penetrates the Port Harcourt climate, seeking talents to elevate. They seem to have hit jackpot.

Now, they have officially launched what they call the Tech Talent Contest 2025 (Rivers Edition) to discover and showcase untapped local tech talent and job opportunities to them.

Details gleaned from their website (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1j2hT3xk3IEvkhijiwDSvMYozVhVD2ObnefiFRhE98eY/edit?usp=sharing) indicate that Fenibo Fubara, the company’s founder and convener, explained that the contest aims to harvest untapped local talent, provide them with visibility and connect them with global opportunities.

He added that talent is “globally dispersed and unevenly distributed, so talents, regardless of location, should be rewarded, celebrated, and allowed to grow.” This philosophy is said to have led to the birth of the Droomwork Tech Talent Contest.

The website further claimed that Rivers State’s tech community is home to many young innovators who they said lack visibility as well as experienced professionals who remained underrecognized. Droomwork thus steps in here, connects rising talents with industry mentors, clients, and resources, fostering local ecosystem growth.

The website revealed that the Tech Talent Contest attracted 81 registered contestants, generated over 60,593 online impressions, and saw 6,624 online votes cast. Eight finalists emerged from the competition. The winner that was crowned the official face of Rivers tech emerged as Chukwuebuka Ezirim Kingdom. This is said to mark the first-ever pioneer face that makes Kingdom a trailblazer in the state’s tech history. He got away with a one plot of land in a Port Harcourt estate, along with a suite of additional rewards including becoming a brand ambassador to Droomwork.

The award ceremony was attended by numerous renowned business leaders, government officials, and tech figures including Adaeze Oreh (Commissioner of Health, Rivers State), Mike Elechi, (entrepreneur and two-time Rivers State Civil Service Commission Commissioner), and many more.

Judges selected to select the winners came across the PH social class.

It was gathered that in addition to the main award, Droomwork honoured several individuals who made outstanding contributions to the local tech ecosystem, Solomon Eseme, Charles Beke, Ibifuro Asawo, and Uche Aniche, the StartupSouth guru. They were said to have made laudable impact on Rivers State’s technology landscape and have continued to inspire the next generation of innovators.

According to the organisers, “This initiative promises to strengthen the region’s tech industry and shine a spotlight on its brightest stars.”
