Docenti Global Business School has secured ISO 9001:2015 certification for its academic supervisory system for Master’s and Doctoral students. The recognition, announced in Lagos on 17 September 2025, highlights the institution’s focus on strengthening quality management across its academic programmes.
The certification covers the school’s processes for supervising postgraduate students, including structured mentorship, progress monitoring, and academic support from coursework through to final defence. It is intended to reinforce international standards in teaching, research, and academic delivery.
Patrick Emenike Madu, Programme Manager at Docenti, explained the purpose of the school’s supervisory model. “At the very heart of our programmes is a strong belief: that scholars should not only excel academically but also make a meaningful impact in their fields and communities,” he said. “Our Master’s and Doctoral students embody this vision every day. Through their rigour, innovation, and resilience, they continue to set standards that inspire us all.”
Cajetan Osuagwu, Programme Director, linked the certification directly to the school’s long-term strategy. “Education thrives on standards,” he noted. “This certification shows our dedication to quality. We do not compromise on standards because, in education, standards are what propel the future. Our highly experienced faculty and staff, who are carefully selected through rigorous processes, assure students that they are receiving true value for their investment.”
Associate Professor Humphrey Akanazu, Executive Principal of Docenti Global Business School, described the certification as part of a wider plan to position the institution as a key player in business education. “Our goal is to benchmark our standards with worldwide acceptable systems that deliver value to our students and impact our communities and the workplace by the quality of the manpower that we produce through the Docenti Global Business School educational framework, which emphasises knowledge that is relevant to today’s work environment,” he said.
Docenti Global Business School offers executive, Master’s, and Doctoral programmes designed to equip students with knowledge and practical skills suited to the global economy. With a faculty drawn from different disciplines, the school promotes research-led teaching, academic mentorship, and industry relevance.
Through global partnerships, quality assurance systems, and postgraduate training, Docenti aims to contribute to higher education in Africa and strengthen its role in shaping future leaders across sectors.
