The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has alleged that the two sons of Clifford Ordia, the former Senator who represented the Central senatorial district, were abducted Saturday morning.

Anthony Aziegbemi, the Edo State caretaker committee chairman of the party, disclosed this to newsmen in Benin City.

Aziegbemi also alleged that Ordia was attacked in Irua, Esan Central local government of Edo State, his vehicle vandalised, and his sons abducted.

He said the incident happened on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in the morning when the former senator was preparing for the senatorial bye-election.

“The report we are hearing now is that Senator Ordia’s vehicle has been attacked and his two sons abducted in Irrua, the administrative headquarters of Esan Central Local Government Area.

“That is the latest we are hearing from Irrua, Esan, the local government area, which is governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo local government” he said.

When contacted, Moses Yamu, the image maker of the Edo State Police Command, said he was not aware of any attack during the election.

“I am not aware of any attack for now. I will get back to you when I get confirmation”, he stated.
