Buhari’s body lands in Daura for burial

The body of the former Nigeria `s President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived his hometown Daura for burial.

Daura where is expected to be buried soon, is about 45 kilometers from Katsina, the state capital.

The body arrived from London at exactly 2.02 pm, covered in Nigerian national colour. It was received at the Umaru Musa Yar`adua, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and conveyed in a motorcade to Daura.

The remains of the late former President, pulled by Bearer Party consisting of four-star Generals, was given full military honour by detachments of the personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces, and other Security Agencies.

President Tinubu arrived earlier in presidential Aircraft NAF 1, accompanied by his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, his son, Seyi Tinubu, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and other top government official, 1.50pm.

The body of the former President from London, was conveyed into Umaru Musa Yar’adua airport at exactly at 2.02pm, and a brief military activity, it was conveyed in a motorcade to Daura by road, while, President flew in a Presidential Chopper to Daura.

It was later conveyed amidst of tight security in a motorcade to his residence in Daura, and received family and a large gathering of array of personalities, including government officials, politicians, traditional rulers, as well as Islamic leaders.
