Bauchi Governor appoints Chinese economist as adviser, seals investment partnership

Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, has appointed Li Zhensheng, Chinese national as his Special Adviser on economic matters.

The governor announced the appointment during the signing of a partnership agreement with the China Global Poverty Reduction Center (CGPCRC), an economic research and development institute headed by Li.

Mohammed said the collaboration with CGPCRC would open the doors for increased foreign investment, stimulate commercial activities, and improve the living standards of residents.

According to him, the initiative aligns with his administration’s economic transformation agenda, which prioritises job creation, industrial growth, and international cooperation.

“This partnership is a strategic move to attract global investors and harness opportunities that will transform the economic landscape of Bauchi State,” the governor stated.

Li Zhensheng, in his remarks, expressed commitment to using his experience and the resources of CGPCRC to foster economic growth and development in the state.
