…Says Tinubu will not be distracted
Presidency on Friday, described members of the coalition group made up of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-rufai, former Kaduna State Governor and others as ” disgruntled and frustrated politicians who are only interested in taking over power from President Bola Tinubu.
Bayo Onanuga, Presidential Spokesman, in his message on his X handle ( formerly twitter), also described them as “Tinubu haters:” adding that “President Tinubu is focused on governance to build a prosperous country.”

Recall that the group which also comprised of Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party LP, Rotimi Amaechi and Fayemi, both former Governors of Rivers and Ekiti states, had kicked against the declaration of the State of Emergency in Rivers state, which they see as part of President Tinubu’s ploy to weaken opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general election.
President Spokesman however, said the President is focused on his plans to revive the economy, adding that ” his is on the way to achieving this.
“Two months to his midterm, he has many solid achievements to showcase.
” Intractable problems are being tackled headlong.
“He cannot be distracted by the so-called coalition of politicians.
“They are not politicians after the Public Good. It’s all about their self-interest.

“They are disgruntled. They are a frustrated lot. The leaders are sore losers. The coalition is an amalgam of Tinubu haters. Their agenda is to stop Tinubu.”
