Alveena Events has completed its Doha Master Class, a twelve-day retreat and training series for event professionals, hosted at the Millennium Hotel, Doha, and delivered in two batches, the first from 24–29 August and the next scheduled for 21–26 October 2025. The initiative, led by Oladipupo Akinkunmi Joseph, founder and creative director, and Tolulope Oladipupo, chief executive officer, represents another step in the company’s plan to build capacity in the global events industry.

The Doha Master Class followed a framework introduced in Kigali, Rwanda, in June 2025, combining training with cultural immersion and bringing together planners, designers, coordinators, and professionals seeking to strengthen their craft. The programme included modules on business expansion and brand building, explored the use of geometric concepts in luxury settings, and provided guidance on positioning brands for international markets. It also featured curated activities such as a yacht cruise along Doha’s skyline, a desert safari, and city tours of major architectural sites, with sessions facilitated by the Oladipupos, Coach Bisi of Trendy Bee Events, and other practitioners.

Delegates engaged in networking opportunities designed to encourage collaboration and exposure to international practices, with organisers stating that the programme sought to prepare African professionals to operate competitively in the global luxury events market. Joseph and Tolulope noted that their aim is to merge creativity with recognised global standards, positioning Alveena Events as a brand with Nigerian roots and international reach. The Doha edition expanded on Kigali with more industry engagement and wider experiential activities, and the organisers said further programmes are planned to support professional development.

Founded in Nigeria by Joseph and Tolulope, Alveena Events designs and decorates large-scale corporate and wedding events. The company has received multiple awards from the Association of Professional Party Organisers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN), including “Event Decorator of the Year” in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Joseph is also chairman of the Association of Creative Event Designers, Abuja (ACEDA).

The company’s clients include businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, known as Obi Cubana, for whom it managed a 50th birthday celebration, and actor Sharon Oja, whose wedding décor it delivered. Its portfolio also features corporate events such as the NEAPS Presidential Awards for four consecutive years. Alveena is noted for concepts such as ceiling descents, water-themed walkways, and event designs inspired by Crazy Rich Asians and Frozen.

The organisers said the company remains focused on mentoring designers across the world while positioning itself as a benchmark for training and execution in luxury event design.
