Akeredolu, Fayemi, Sanwo-Olu, others to receive South-West Advancement Award

Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo State will deliver the keynote address at the 3rd edition of the Southwest Advancement Award 2023. His Imperial Majesty Enitan, Ogunwusi Ojaja II will be the Royal Father of the Day.

Lagos State will host the 3rd edition of Southwest Advancement Award and Investment Summit 2023, theme ‘The New Future, Oiling the wheels of a Nation to Prosperity’ scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos State, Nigeria.

South West Advancement Award and Investment Summit is an annual one-day conference convened to foster the development of trade and investment in South Western Nigeria.

This premier event is also designed to unravel the untapped resources in each of the six South Western states (Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ogun) and how they can be utilised to foster sustainable development in the region and consequently boost nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The event will feature Brand Exhibition and will have highly interactive panel discussions with key players from different industries and one-on-one access to key industry policymakers.

The event will also provide an opportunity for potential investors from Asia, Europe and the Americas to experience a virtual tour of these states and exploit their resources.

The South-West Advancement Award is designed to celebrate South-West indigenes who are doing well in their various endeavours. The award is a reference point in appreciating excellence in service, accountability, and social responsibility in society.

According to the Convener, Desmond Femi Agboola said this year’s event promises to be mind-blowing and a celebration of great achievers in the region.

Among those to be honoured at the event include Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti; Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo State and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
