Adamawa senator boosts agribusiness, distributes 1,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers

Binos Dauda Yaroe, a Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, in partnership with Alkaf Global Investment Resources Limited and Border Communities’ Development Agency (BCDA), has distributed 1,100 bags of fertilizer to farmers in the State.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony of the fertiliser in Mayo-Belwa Local Council, Yaroe expressed delight with the gesture from the Agency (BCDA), stating that the effort aimed at boosting farming activities in the Southern Region of the State.

Yaroe, who was represented by his aide, Boniface Katawan, said that his determination to uplift the livelihood of his constituents remains the driving force in the political representation given to him by the people of his Senatorial District, promising them a sense of belonging through his programmes.

He pointed out that his collaboration with Alkaf Global Investment Resources Limited was already yielding positive results for the benefit of his constituents, recalling the numerous empowerment programmes and distributions that were successfully carried out in partnership with the Alkaf firm as a dependable partner.

Stephen Daniel, representative of Border Communities’ Development Agency (BCDA), and Bilkisu Ibrahim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alkaf Investment Limited, hailed Binos Dauda Yaroe for his selfless service to the people of Adamawa South, where he described him as the best Senator in the Red Chamber.

Ibrahim, CEO of Alkaf Investment Limited, noted that 1,100 bags of fertiliser were distributed within eight Local Councils. Areas with a Local Council Area, getting 120 bags of fertiliser each, while Mayo-Belwa Local Government gets 140 bags of fertiliser, making the total of 1,100 in whole.

They therefore called on the people of Adamawa Southern Senatorial District to support Binos Yaroe to enable them to reap more dividends of democracy and good representation at the Red Chamber.

Representatives of the nine Local Councils, after receiving 120 bags of fertiliser each for onward distribution to the intending beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Binos and his collaborators for the kind gesture.

Some of the Representatives, who spoke, included Dauda Wilson from Jada LGA, Elishama Thomas from Shelleng LGA and Abubakar Audu from Toungo LGA, assured the Federal government through the Agency (BCDA), Senator Binos Yaroe, as well as Alkaf Global Investment Resources Limited, of fairness and transparency in the distribution process.
