The Nasara Women Development Foundation commemorated its third anniversary Sunday at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic in Birnin Kebbi with the launch of a new publication titled “The Nasara Chronicle.”
According to Foundation CEO Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir, the organization has served approximately 500,000 beneficiaries since its establishment through programs focused on healthcare, education, skills acquisition, and humanitarian support.
During the ceremony, Nasir attributed the foundation’s development to its founder, Kebbi State First Lady Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, who described the new magazine as a communication tool connecting the foundation with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
“The Nasara Chronicle fills this gap. It is more than just a magazine; it is a vital instrument for change,” the First Lady stated during her remarks.

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris attended the event and indicated support for the foundation’s initiatives, noting the role of non-governmental organizations in supplementing government efforts.
“Where the government cannot reach, foundations such as Nasara Foundation are reaching there. The government is ready to partner with the foundation to reach even further,” the Governor said.
House of Representatives member Hon. Bello Kaoje, who represents Bagudo/Suru Federal Constituency, served as chief launcher for the publication. Other attendees included the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly and various state officials.
