Victor Osimhen‘s highly anticipated permanent move to Galatasaray has hit a major setback, as Napoli have rejected the Turkish club’s €75 million bid, despite it matching the striker’s official release clause.
According to multiple reports, Napoli are demanding stronger financial guarantees from Galatasaray before allowing the Nigerian star to leave.

The Super Eagles striker, frustrated by the delay, has reportedly refused to attend pre-season training and informed Napoli he no longer wishes to play under new manager Antonio Conte.
Galatasaray, confident after Victor Osimhen’s impressive loan spell last season, where he scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances, hoped to finalise a permanent deal.
The Turkish champions offered to meet the release clause via instalments, backed by a structure of financial guarantees.
However, Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Napoli remain unsatisfied with the payment plan and security offered by Galatasaray, leading to a breakdown in negotiations.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu added that Galatasaray director Abdullah Kavukcu extended his stay in Milan as talks dragged on.
Osimhen, who is reportedly pushing hard for the move, has now issued an ultimatum to Napoli. His stance signals deepening tensions with the Serie A champions, who risk losing the player’s cooperation if a deal isn’t reached soon.
