With the recent commencement of the Passenger and ramp handling of Ethiopia (ET) business in Kano, nahco aviance has now made a complete haul of ET’s passenger services and ramp handling in Nigeria.
The cut-over of the airline’s passenger handling and Ramp handling on June 18, 2017 in Kano now means that nahco aviance will handle these segments of the ET business in all its destinations in Nigeria.
Before the latest addition, the ground handler had been in charge of the ET’s passengers and ramp services in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu.
The new development came just as the aviation company signed a deal to handle Turkish Airline (TK) Freighter Service to Kano. The new service, which is expected to commence on 4th July, will see the ground handler increase its strong partnership with TK whose entire cocktail of businesses it handles in Nigeria.
Speaking on the new businesses on behalf of the chief operating officer of nahco, Biodun Oyebade, the company’s Lagos regional manager, said it is a welcome and comforting development.
Oyebade stated, “The new business is a welcome development. I am very happy we now handle ET, the flagship African Airline in locations it flies into in Nigeria and the 5th location also coming soon.”
“ET operates average of 56 inbound passenger flights monthly into Lagos/Abuja & Kano (Lagos, Abuja and Kano), second only to Lufthansa Airline. This is a great feat that can only get better.”
Nahco aviance was incorporated by Nigeria’s government in 1979, in partnership with some international Airlines and became fully privatized in 2005.
It is currently owned by over 80,000 individual shareholders, Air France, Lufthansa Airlines, Sycor Private Investment Limited, Rosehill Group Limited and AHUWA Resources.
Nahco is the provider of Passenger Handling, Passenger Facilitation, Cargo Handling/Warehousing, Aircraft Handling, Aviation Training and Crew Transportation in Nigeria and indeed the entire West Africa sub-region.
The Company has operations in 13 airports across Nigeria where it provides excellent services to some of world’s leading airlines. These include British Airways, Air France KLM, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Delta Airlines, Alitalia, Emirates and Qatar Airlines, and Cargolux.
