The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) recently published its report on the most active broker/dealers in April, 2016. The report revealed that ten (10) stockbroking firms were responsible for 77.2% of total market volumes and 69.6% of total market value recorded for the month.
Greenwich Trust Limited (Greenwich) topped the lists of most active broker/dealers by market volume and value during the period, trading 13.4 billion shares valued at N12.3 billion.
In terms of market share, Greenwich executed 58.3% of total market transaction by volume and 19.1% of total market value in April 2016.
This performance also reflects the record achieved by the company during the first quarter ended March 2016, when Greenwich led the entire market by trading a total of 13.48 billion shares, representing 19.3 percent of total volumes recorded at the NSE between January and March 2016.
