Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian forward and reigning CAF African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman, in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old winger has enjoyed a sensational season with Atalanta, playing a key role in their UEFA Europa League triumph, including a memorable hat-trick in the final.

His stellar form also earned him a 14th-place finish in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings, cementing his status as one of Europe’s top-performing forwards.
Lookman has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, with Manchester United and Liverpool leading the race for his signature.
The Super Eagles star has notched 13 goals and five assists in 26 Serie A appearances this season and was recently ranked top of Serie A’s striker rankings by Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
According to Il Giorno, Atalanta’s newly appointed Director of Global Development, John Murtough, formerly of Manchester United, has been tasked with overseeing the profitable sale of key players, including Lookman and Brazilian midfielder Ederson.
With Lookman’s contract running until 2026, Atalanta are reportedly looking to cash in this summer and are expected to demand a fee of at least £50 million for the Nigerian international.
The London-born winger, who has seamlessly blended flair and consistency, is said to be seeking a new challenge as he enters the prime of his career.
