A total of 10,465 students of tertiary institutions across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have applied for the 2025 bursary award organised by the Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation and Tinubu Support Group Bursary Award.
According to a press statement issued by the central committee of the scholarship programme, the statement said the registration for the scholarship commenced on the 1st of August and ended at midnight August 31, 2025.
The statement reads, “The next phase of the process is the sorting and screening stage that would ensure a transparent selection of the qualified 3,000 successful applicants in progress as promised by Senator Karimi at the beginning of the programme for all indigenes of Kogi State in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.”
The statement equally said, “After this stage, the names of the successful applicants would be published in due course.”
The committee enjoined all applicants and interested parties to follow the DSSK Media Team for updates, noting that Senator Karimi is fully committed to ensuring that all applicants are given equal opportunity throughout the process of ensuring transparency, accountability, and equity to all applicants.
Recall that Senator Steve Sunday Karimi Education Foundation in the month of July, 2025 announced the commencement of bursary programme for students of Kogi State origin in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The foundation disclosed that 1,390 students of Kogi west senatorial district in public tertiary institutions will benefit from the bursary award while under Tinubu Support Group Bursary Award, 1000 students from Kogi East Senatorial District and 610 students from Central Senatorial District studying in public tertiary institutions across the country will be awarded the bursary.
