The ambience at Whisky Ice restaurant/bar and club could be categorised into three main sections: the inner lounge with its sub-sections and its weird atmosphere, the main outdoor bar with its associated bizarre tone and then, the “Rockbolt” (outer extension) bar- created purposely for matured and peculiar personalities whose minds crave natural outdoor environment free of irritants in whatever form.
Having told the story of Whisky Ice from its inner lounge perspective last week, our focus this time around is on its outer environment; and thus, with this second publication, Whisky Ice has joined top bars in Lagos as it is the tradition with Hang Out With BDS. The frenzy and electrifying atmosphere of Whisky’s outer lounge is what many of its customers cannot resist at weekends for so many reasons. It is a gathering of like minds that come to take advantage of highly entertaining scenery to provoke or impose smile and laughter on a wearied face. It would not be an exaggeration to tell an invitee that his or her body would find real relaxation once stepped into the arena where comedians and stage dancers are on hand to do what they know doing best- magically forcing a frowning face to a point of beam. It is indeed, always a hilarious atmosphere at Whisky’s main outer bar.
The stylish arrangement of couches, chairs and tables at the bar is also note worthy; beautifully done to create a family size outdoor bar where customers can closely enjoy gracious facial expression of one and another. At Whisky outdoor bar, customers need not worry about sudden downpour because the bar is strategically placed under wide modern canopy and some section extending to the main building deck.

Life at the Rockbolt section of the bar is also distinctively exceptional. The Rockbolt bar which is the first point of contact approaching Whisky’s arena, is populated with ladies and their guys who just want atmosphere for easy conversation amid the chilling evening seaside breeze. It is very mature here indeed. The twinkling light; the glistering of the entire scene; the arrangement of the bar’s chairs and tables, combined with the oozing BBQ aroma from nearby kitchen would compel anyone to agree with the term “life is good”!
The menu available at Whisky Ice include: Isi ewu, nkwobi, cow tail, bush meat, live chicken, catfish (point and kill); meat pie, frank’s roll, burger, sausage roll, cup cake, donut, egg roll; wheat, pounded yam, eba, semovita, starch, white rice, jollof and fried rice, coconut rice, yam porridge, spaghetti, beans, indomie, assorted beef, snail, ponmo’, turkey fried fish, goat meat; afang, bitter leaf, edi-kaikong, efo-riro, egusi, ogbono, oha, banga, white soup, fresh okro, pepper soup and asu; shawarma, chicken chip, BBQ; gulp with drinks like: red label, Champaign, Smirnoff vodka, Jack Daniel, tequila, baileys, Hennessey, red wine; black current, grenadie, angostura bitter, beers and soft drinks as occasion and appetite demands; with its well mannered attendants going to and fro to see needing customers.
Whisky Ice, located at Olokonla Bus-stop, by Road Safety, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ajah, Lagos also provides opportunity for young music stars and future Nollywood stars to show the stuff they are made of. It is a display of creativity to the delight of customers as they watch stage drama! It did not come as a surprise when your darling page found out that Whisky’s management also run movie academy and hotel rooms for customers who may want to stay away from home for some time. Whisky also donates birthday cake to celebrants who choose to use its facility to celebrate the event in a grand style.
