Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Rabiu Olowo, has said a team has been raised to look into how the LIRS published tax payers’ personal data online.
Olowo when contacted by BusinessDay, said he would have very little to say on the issue until the team come up with its report.
According to the commissioner, ” I have received several calls on this today, but a team is working it to find what happened, how it happened and why it happened. We’re expecting that the team will come up with its report later today. Until that happens, I wouldn’t have much to say on it.
So give me till later today to receive the team’s findings. I will get back to you,” Olowo told BusinessDay.
However, officials of the LIRS wouldn’t speak on the issue, when contacted.
