Kayode Kasum may not have been in the public eye for very long but he has already done a lot of amazing work in his almost decade-long career. A graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, Kayode went from being a novice motion graphics designer to being a hotshot film maker in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
After creating and directing music videos, TV series, and ad campaigns for different brands, he made his first feature-length film in 2017 titled Dognapped. It starred Odunlade Adekola, Lota Chukwu, Julius Agwu, Wofai fada and many others.

In a 2019 interview, Kayode said about the movie, “I was working for an ad agency and also for a television decoder company. I saved money for 2 years and shot Dognapped which took like a year in post-production because we had to animate the dog to talk. It was a very challenging year in my life but I do not regret making that film because it paved the way for other films. God is great.”
Kayode has since gone on to direct 6 feature length films, including the upcoming action-comedy blockbuster, Quam’s Money. Quam’s Money follows the adventures of Quam Omole (Falz), a security guard-turned-millionaire who loses N500 million naira in a fraudulent business deal and is determined to do all he can to get his money back.
Directed by Kayode Kasum and written by Chinaza Onuzo, the movie stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Williams Uchemba, Toni Tones, Michelle Dede, Karibi Fubara, and Buchi Ojieh, Jemima Osunde and Blossom Chukwujekwu. The movie is now showing in cinemas across Nigeria.
