The Net Asset Value (NAV) of Nigeria’s Collective rose by N2.432 billion to N180.610 billion as of week ended November 14, 2014, from a low of N178.178 billion in the corresponding week. This comprises the value of 52 mutual funds and two exchange traded funds (ETFs).
In the period under review, NAV of Equity Based Funds rose from N35.974 billion to N36.586 billion, while that of Money Market Funds, which stood at N61.547 billion as of November 7, 2014, rose to N61.877 billion in the review week.
The Equity Based Funds are: Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund, ARM Discovery Fund, Coral Growth Fund, Nigeria International Growth Fund, Legacy Fund, IMB Energy Master Fund, Frontier Fund, Paramount Equity Fund, UBA Equity Fund, ARM Aggressive Growth Fund, ACAP Canary Growth Fund, Anchor Fund, Bedrock Fund, Zenith Equity Fund, Afrinvest Equity Fund, BGL Nubian Fund, and SIM Capital Alliance Fund.
Money Market Funds asset value also increased from N61.547 billion to N61.877 billion. The funds in the basket of Money Market Fund are: Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund, FBN Money Market Fund, UBA Money Market Fund, AIICO Money Market Fund, and ARM Money Market Fund.
Also, the NAV of Bond Funds increased from N16.734 billion to N16.809 billion. These funds are: Stanbic IBTC Bond Fund, UBA Bond Fund, Nigeria International Debt Fund, BGL Sapphire Fund, Coral Income Fund, Kakawa Guaranteed Income Fund, Zenith Income Fund, FBN Fixed Income Fund, Stanbic IBTC Guaranteed Fund, and SFS Fixed Income Fund.
The value of Real Estate Fund dropped from N45.020 billion to N45.017 billion. Real Estate Fund is made up of: Skye Shelter Fund, Union Homes REITS and UPDC Real Estate Investment Fund.
The asset value of Balance Based Funds rose from N7.513 billion to N8.617 billion. The Balance Based Funds are: Women Investment Fund, UBA Balanced Fund, Union Trustees Mixed Fund, FBN Heritage Fund, Nigeria Global Investment Fund, Stanbic IBTC Balanced Fund, Indo Nigeria Unit Trust Fund, and DV Balanced Fund.
The asset value of ethical fund has risen from N5.343 billion to N5.497 billion. The funds in this basket are: Zenith Ethical Fund, Lotus Halal Investment Fund, Stanbic IBTC Ethical Fund, ARM Ethical Fund, and Stanbic IBTC Iman Fund.
Sector Fund, which is only Nigeria Energy Sector Fund, has its asset value increase from N1.006 billion to N1.029 billion.
Umbrella Fund assets has risen from N2.539 billion to N2.558 billion. Funds in this basket are: Stanbic IBTC Aggressive Fund, Stanbic IBTC Absolute Fund, and Stanbic IBTC Conservative Fund.
The Exchange Traded Funds are: VG 30 ETF, managed by Vetiva Fund Managers Limited; and New Gold ETF, managed by New Gold Managers (Proprietary) Limited.
