Nkem Okeke is a multi-award winning executive and entrepreneur with 20+ years’ multidisciplinary experience in healthcare transformation and building payer-provider relationships to improve and better integrate patient-centered care delivery, health systems operations and community services. Her expertise in healthcare (spanning clinical to business to health IT), brings a unique 360֯-value-add perspective.

She is the CEO/Founder of Medicalincs, a specialised healthcare advisory and population health management services firm. They provide the knowledge, infrastructure, and human capital that enable healthcare organisations and business leaders to maximise efficiency and ROI.

She is also the founder of Healthlincs, a 501(c) nonprofit healthcare organisation that partners with local and national agencies to link healthcare resources, services, processes, and systems to improve healthcare outcomes and meaningful living.

Okeke’s background include: Standing up the cost containment innovation hub for a $1.7 billion health plan, developing new direct-to-customer solutions that delivered over $20M+ in cost savings with a 3:1 ROI. A lead catalyst for $100M+ in revenue generation in two years for a Fortune 100 health company.

Furthermore, she also led large multidisciplinary teams in multi-faceted programmes at leading healthcare organisations (including Kaiser Permanente and Johns Hopkins). Supporting healthcare executive teams at Centres for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). She’s consultant faculty lead for the CMS CPC+ (America’s largest model to transform payment and primary care delivery in 3000 practices across 18 regions in the US).

Also, Nkem is shepherding new technologies into large systems for a payer-provider group – expanding telehealth offerings, with related expense reduction of $5 million and a 15% improvement in efficiency delivery services in one fiscal year. She served twice as Chief Operations Officer with multi-dollar P&L responsibility – in a medical and women’s health centre serving over 45,000 patients, and at a management services firm – diversifying the service offerings to deliver a 50% increase in revenue.

Nkem Okeke has international experience in Africa and Asia in healthcare economics, public health, health policy, and advanced primary care.

Okeke obtained her medical degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria, and completed her training at KorleBu Teaching Hospital, University of Ghana as a Family (General) Practice Physician. She obtained triple-master’s degrees in business administration, Project Management and Public Health (from George Washington University and Tulane University). She also completed her fellowship in Clinical Data Analytics, at Johns Hopkins University, MD, and certified in Project Management (PMI), Lean Six Sigma (Johns Hopkins), and Change Management (Prosci).

Currently, through her firm based in the U.S., she leads a team of multi-disciplinary experts to provide the knowledge, human capital, infrastructure, and technology that enable healthcare organisations to maximise efficiency and ROI.
