He recalled his first exposure to business in 1993 when, as a three-year-old, he watched his father launch a starch business, followed by other ventures that ultimately failed. Observing these challenges, he realised the importance of sustainability in entrepreneurship.

“That realisation became my mission,” he said in a statement. “I committed to completing my education in business and building on the seeds my father had planted.”

With a degree in Business Management from the University of Manchester, Washington has leveraged his education to lead teams, solve complex challenges, and create real impact in the security industry.

His brand, Dayo Washington, offers a comprehensive suite of services, including professional manned security, expert consulting, and discreet private investigation services.

He has also successfully expanded his operations into the UK, bringing Nigerian expertise to an international stage. “We don’t just provide security—we deliver trust, professionalism, and peace of mind across Nigeria and the UK,” he stated.

One of Washington’s most notable achievements is building a team of over 521 staff members, each supported with personalised development plans.

He said that the focus on growth and empowerment has created a company culture that operates “not just as a workforce, but as one big family.”
