The Imo State Police Command has congratulated Happiness Uba, a sergeant, serving at the Imo State Police Command, for her outstanding performance and exemplary representation of the Nigeria Police Force at the recently concluded 14th Africa Anniversary Wrestling Championship in Abuja.
Aboki Danjuma, Commissioner of Police, Imo State, made the commendation recently to appreciate Uba’s feat.
The championship, which was hosted by Nigeria in Abuja, witnessed the participation of athletes from 19 African countries, where Uba represented the Nigeria Police Force and the nation, and displayed a remarkable skill and resilience, clinching two bronze medals in her category.
In his further remarks Aboki expressed pride for the uncommon feat, and stated that it was a testament to the gallantry and discipline of officers beyond policing duties.
He also commended the officer in-charge of sports (OC Sports), Raphael Ubah, a deputy superintendent (DSP) for his dedication to groom talents within the command, which contributed to the success.
Responding with humility, Uba expressed deep gratitude to Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and to Aboki Danjuma, Commissioner of Police, Imo State, for the recognition and encouragement.
Uba further reaffirmed her commitment to continue to make the Nigeria Police and the nation proud.
