Emeka Ihedioha, Imo governor-elect, has inaugurated a transition technical committee with a mandate to come up with a blue print to define the overall direction of his in-coming administration; this is as he said that he would employ the best brain in his government.
The committee which has a former CBN deputy governor Ernest Ebi as chairman has six weeks to consummate its assignment.
Ihedioha divided the committee into various sub committees to smoothen its assignment, saying, that the members were selected from among the best brain in all fields of human endeavour which the state could boast of, adding that none of them lobbied for his appointment.
“We are not bereft of ideas on what to achieve and we will rely on teamwork to harness the best in our state and you are all competent for us to measure a reasonable frame work”.
While pledging not tamper with the work of the committee regretted that the state had of recent, been enmeshed in negative media reports occasioned by ineffectual governance of the out-going government but assured that he was motivated and determined to change the narrative and would work hard for a purposeful and transparent administration anchored on the rule of law and due process.
“Please ensue that the activities that would usher in my inauguration are peaceful, eventful and memorable because your job is very critical and worthwhile to move our state forward”.
At the ceremony which was attended by numerous prominent indigenes of the state, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu member, BoT of the PDP, Justice Paul Onumajulu a former chief judge of the state, and Charles Ugwu a former minister of commerce and industry in their various remarks extolled Ihedioha as a tested administrator and a lawmaker who has all it takes to move the state forward and wish him well in office.
