As I gained more experience, I realized that I had a flair for connecting with people and telling stories. This led me to explore TV presenting, and eventually, entrepreneurship. My diverse experiences have shaped me into a confident, adaptable, and creative individual. I’ve learned to embrace challenges, think outside the box, and stay true to my values.

I’ve also learned the value of building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and contestants. It’s essential to create a positive, supportive environment that allows everyone to shine. Finally, I’ve discovered that hosting high-profile events requires a unique blend of confidence, humility, and authenticity.
As the founder of XandoraBeauty, what challenges have you faced in building a skincare brand in Nigeria, and how do you think the beauty industry can contribute to economic growth?
Building XandoraBeauty has been a rewarding yet challenging experience. One of the biggest hurdles I’ve faced is navigating the complex regulatory landscape in Nigeria. Additionally, building a strong brand identity and differentiating ourselves in a crowded market has required creativity, persistence, and a deep understanding of our target audience. Despite these challenges, I believe that the beauty industry has tremendous potential to contribute to economic growth in Nigeria. By supporting local businesses, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating jobs, we can unlock the industry’s full potential and make a positive impact on our communities.
Your YouTube channel focuses on helping women build confidence. What personal experiences inspired this initiative, and what’s the most rewarding feedback you have received from your audience?
My YouTube channel is a labor of love, and it’s deeply personal. As a woman who has faced my own share of self-doubt and insecurity, I understand the importance of building confidence and self-esteem. Through my channel, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where women can share their stories, learn from each other, and grow together. The most rewarding feedback I’ve received is from women who have found the courage to pursue their passions, speak their truth, and live more authentically. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey.
Fashion, beauty, and lifestyle are central to your career. In what ways do you think these industries are evolving in Nigeria, and how can young creatives tap into the opportunities they offer?
The fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries in Nigeria are evolving rapidly, and it’s an exciting time to be a part of this ecosystem. We’re seeing a surge in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with many young designers, beauty experts, and lifestyle influencers making a name for themselves globally. To tap into these opportunities, I advise young creatives to stay curious, keep learning, and be open to collaborations and feedback. Building a strong online presence, networking with industry professionals, and developing a unique value proposition are also essential.
Many young Nigerians dream of pursuing careers in media and entrepreneurship like yours. What advice would you give to someone looking to balance multiple passions while staying authentic?
My advice to young Nigerians who want to pursue multiple passions while staying authentic is to start by identifying your core values and strengths. What are you passionate about? What are your non-negotiables? Once you have clarity on these questions, you can begin to explore different paths that align with your values and strengths. It’s also essential to prioritize self-care, set realistic goals, and be patient with yourself. Remember, authenticity is a journey, not a destination.
With a strong online presence, how do you handle the pressures of social media while staying true to your values and maintaining a positive influence on your followers?
As someone with a strong online presence, I understand the pressures of social media. To stay true to my values and maintain a positive influence on my followers, I prioritise authenticity, consistency, and boundaries. I’m mindful of the content I create and share, ensuring that it aligns with my values and resonates with my audience. I also take breaks from social media, focus on real-life connections, and cultivate a supportive community that uplifts and inspires me.
