The Chairman, Southwest Governors’ Forum, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ,Governor Seyi Makinde, the host ,Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and Osun State Deputy Governor Gboyega Alabi have arrived at the venue for the launch of Amotekun.
Other important personalities include Group Managing Director, Odu’a Investment company Limited, Adewale Raji, Banji Akintoye,a professor and foremost historian; Director General, Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, Seye Oyeleye; Muyiwa Ige, son of Late Bola Ige, Ayo Afolabi and Kunle Famoriyo of the Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) and some traditional rulers.
Also on ground at the Car Park of the Oyo State Governor’s Office include contingents from the six states of Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Osun and as well as leaders of thought and groups.
Also in attendance are members of vigilante groups such as local hunters and the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) and statutory security agencies.
Some of the 120 red security patrol vehicles for the launch of Operation Amotekun were seen at the car park of the Governor’s Office.
