Flutterwave has partnered with Chpter to power the future of social commerce in Africa by using AI integration to meet seamless payments. This collaboration hopes to enhance social selling by helping businesses engage customers, automate conversations, process payments, and drive marketing campaigns.
Social media has become increasingly popular for buying and selling due to its wide reach, speed, and variety, and this has become more evident with the number of online marketplaces that are created every day.
“As Chpter expands into 11 new countries, we’re enabling secure, instant payments so businesses can sell, chat, and get paid, all in one conversation,” the firm said in a blog post. “Together, we’re driving real-time, AI-led commerce across the continent.”

It stated that selling on social media can be complex and time-consuming for businesses, which is where the partnership between Flutterwave and Chpter.
What the partnership means for African businesses
Chpter has a mission to help African businesses seamlessly convert online conversations into sales. By 2030, the firm aims to have helped one million businesses achieve this.
“We are thrilled to be Chpter’s payment partner as they scale their business across Africa,” Flutterwave stated.
In addition to Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, where Chpter is currently operational, businesses in Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Egypt can now sign up, start selling on social media platforms, and accept both local and international payments, it stated.

These payments can be made using cards, bank transfers, mobile money, and other payment methods. “Flutterwave is perfectly positioned to power these payments for Chpter as we operate in over 30 African countries. Chpter also has an AI tool which helps with the ‘conversation to sales’ goal,” the firm said.
“Its personas, Jess and Bran, are virtual round-the-clock sales and customer service agents that assist with all customer enquiries and complete all sales.”
