Ahead of the dry season resumption of construction works, road infrastructure projects took the lion share of approvals by the Federal Executive Council FEC, Wednesday, with a total approvals of N27b going to the sector.
The Council also approved the sum of N3.7b for the procurement of instruments landing services to be installed at airports in the country to boost the nation’s aviation sector.

This is just at FEC also approved contract for the purchase of 400 assault riffles for the Ministry of Interior for the Nigeria Prison Service at the cost of N273m.
These were part of the outcome of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council, presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, on Wednesday.
The briefing coordinated by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu had the Ministers of Power , Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, State Aviation, Hadi Sirika, Interior, Abdurahman Dambazzau as well as Environment, Usman Jibrin.
