Indications emerged late last night that the Father -in-law of Aide de Camp to President Muhammadu Buhari, Musa Umar, was kidnaped on Wednesday night at his Daura resident in Katsina state.
The attackers were said to have stormed his residence in Daura and abducted the retired Customs officer after observing his Magrib prayer.
Umar who also holds the traditional title of Magajin Garin Daura, was reportedly abducted after shooting sporadically into the air to scare away people in the compound before taking him away.
He is the father of Fatima Musa, wife of Mohammed Abubakar, an Army Colonel and Aide de Camp, ADC, to President Muhammadu Buhari
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Frank Mba, expressed surprise at the news and asked to be given time to confirm the report before making official statement on the issue.
“ My brother, l left my office at about 1am yesterday and today, l am just entering my house, let me consult and first brief my boss, l will certainly get back to you.” he said.
