The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said it had begun the installation of a new 2.5MVA transformer unit at the International Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos.
This is contained in a statement by the general manager, corporate communications, FAAN, Yakubu Dati, on Monday in Abuja.
FAAN said that the transformer would serve the chillers at the terminal.
It stated that the installation, which began on March 10, would last for three days.
It said that during the period, cooling at both the old check-in area and arrival lobby would be sub-optimal.
However, the newly-extended areas and fingers would not be affected.
