The board of directors of Total E&P Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) has appointed two new executive directors: Victor Bandele as executive director, JV District, and Patrick Olinma as executive director, oil and gas commercial, with effect from September 1.
Bandele joined the then Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (now Total E&P Nigeria) as a trainee reservoir engineer in 1993. He was involved in many subsurface field management and development activities – onshore and offshore, including some non-operated assets of the company until 2004 when he became the Geosciences and Reservoir engineering (GSR) team leader for the offshore OML 99 assets.
He has held important positions in operations, projects and management within Nigeria and overseas, including serving as GSR manager for Akpo Field, which was the first deepwater development project executed by Total in Nigeria.
He was executive general manager, GSR and Assets management within the JV District from May to September 2013, and worked as petroleum architect in the development studies entity at Total’s headquarters in Paris for two years. He returned to the Nigerian subsidiary as executive general manager, special duties, JV District on August 10, 2015, and was on this position till his recent appointment to the board of directors of the company as executive director, JV District.
In his new position, Bandele will oversee activities of the three main technical divisions within the JV District.
Patrick Olinma joined the then Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (now TEPNG) as legal counsel in 1996. He has performed various roles as lead counsel in negotiation of various Petroleum Sharing Contracts and JV oil and gas agreements from 2001 to 2003. He was LNG marketing manager in Total S.A. France, Gas and Power Division from January to August 2005 and Lead Commercial Negotiator in Total Gas &Power UK from September 2005 to August 2006. He was appointed Deputy General Manager responsible for Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) commercial matters within Total organization from January to September 2007.
In October 2007, Olinma was seconded to Nigeria LNG Limited as general manager commercial and head of the commercial division. He was responsible for the transformation of the NLNG portfolio of Long-term Atlantic Basin LNG contracts into a global portfolio of flexible and divertible LNG contracts.
In his new role, he will have oversight of two divisions: The crude oil commercial and the gas business divisions of Total.
