The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has taken an early lead in in the presidential election in Rivers and his home state of Adamawa according to results so far declared.
Atiku has so far won in eight of nine Local Government Areas (LGA’s) where the results have been collated.
The results, which are still being collated across the state, showed the former Vice President leading in Oyigbo, Omuma, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Obio/Akpor, Eleme, Andoni, Gokana and Etche LGAs.
Meanwhile results of the presidential election from 18 local government areas of Adamawa also put Atiku in the lead.
The returning officer said out of the 21 LGAs of the state 18 local government areas had been collated, remaining three LGAs .
