Masked operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) are currently stopping lawmakers, workers, reporters and visitors from gaining entrance into the National Assembly.
It was gathered that the security men stormed the Complex as early as 6am.
The security men who said they were taking instructions from above, also turned back a serving senator, Rafiu Ibrahim (PDP, Kwara South) and blocked the main entrance of the National Assembly.
They also confiscated the phone of a journalist with The Guardian newspaper.
Ibrahim who chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, was one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers that recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Unconfirmed reports say the plot is to impeach the Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
