Crew survive as IRS plane crashes in Niger Republic

A Fokker 100 plane belonging to Nigeria’s IRS Airlines crashed on Saturday, at about 7.30 pm in neighbouring Niger Republic.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says the aircraft crashed after it lost contact over the town of Ganla in Niger Republic.
The two crew members on board however survived.
The aircraft with registration number 5N-SIK, BusinessDay learnt, was returning from C- Check maintenance in an undiaclosed location.
Also the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the crash.
IRS airlines is owned by Ishiaku Rabiu, a Nigerian business mogul.
