Private charter airline Elin Air has been awarded its Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) Certificates and Operations Specification (OPSPEC) by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), a move that strengthens Nigeria’s position in the global Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market.
The September 2025 certification follows Elin’s successful completion of Africa’s first 7,800 landings check on a Challenger 604, performed locally by its Nigerian engineers. The achievement cut costs, saved foreign exchange, and retained high-value technical expertise within Nigeria.

“The issuance of the AMO Certificates and OPSPEC by the NCAA is a landmark for both Elin Group and Nigeria’s aviation industry,” said Engr. Dr. Benedict Adeyileka, Executive Director of Elin Group. “This approval empowers us to maintain our fleet and extend services to other operators, thereby supporting the sector’s growth.”
Industry experts say the approval is expected to drive new investment, employment opportunities, and partnerships across Nigeria’s aviation value chain.
