Larusson, others to address teaching, learning for the Next Generation

Johann Ari Larusson, head, Centre for Digital Data, Analytics and Adaptive Learning at the Pearson Research and Innovation Network in the United States, will be the chief speaker alongside other panellists to address ‘Teaching and Learning for the Next Generation’ put together by Corona Schools as part of its 60th anniversary.

The public lecture scheduled for today at the Muson Centre, Lagos, is expected to discuss the Nigerian educational space, and more importantly, the future of global education.

According to Olufunto Igun, CEO, Corona Schools’ Trust Council, the specific goals of the public lecture is to explore global trends and best practices for teaching and learning as well as possible solutions for addressing challenges and constraints, identify areas of collaboration among education stakeholders and discover innovative ways to improve learning in the classroom.

Participants at the event will include heads of schools, federal and state education officials, teachers, parents, and international organisations working within the Nigerian education space, Igun said.

Larusson will share his expertise and knowledge on the future of the Nigerian educational space, highlighting emerging educational trends and discussing the research efforts.

The keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion on Preparing Learners to Compete Favourably in Increasingly Complex Work and Life Situations, and Learning and Innovation in Today’s Classroom.

Panellists include the keynote speaker, Johann Ari Larusson and Tunji Adegbesan, Folasade Adefisayo, Tokunbo Onosode, Gbolahan Daodu, Craig Heaton, Olisaemeka Osakwe, and the moderator, Yemisi Ikuomola.
