Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has condemned alleged election fraud by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in some parts of the state as the people vote for his successor, accusing the security personnel of assisting in the fraudulent acts.
Dickson who voted in his country home, Toru-Orua in Sagbama Local Government Area, also questioned the role of security personnel and staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking to newsmen after casting his vote, he said security operatives were assisting the APC in committing election fraud.
Earlier, PDP’s candidate in the election, Douye Diri accused the APC of electoral fraud by preventing his supporters from voting. PDP alleged the APC supporters were hijacking the electing materials thereby denying PDP supporters of the opportunity to vote.
