Ighrakpata, in a statement, said he and his team were working to hit the N135 billion target set for this year, expressing the hope that it is achievable.
“With the cumulative IGR collection N104,080,603,826.74 for the period of January 2025 to June 2025, the revenue service has achieved approximately 77.62 percent of the annual revenue target of N134,092,848,109.00 in the 2025 Budget estimates”, he explained.
He credited the revenue growth to strategic management of taxpayer funds, the governor’s landmark development projects across the State’s three Senatorial Districts and the collaborative efforts of the IRS management and staff.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Executive Council has approved N230 billion worth of projects spanning across key sectors including health, road infrastructure, energy and rural development.
The approval made on Tuesday at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was in line with the governor’s continued commitment to infrastructure development and well-being of the citizens.
