Oyo discharges 40 COVID-19 patients as total now 1120

Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday announced that forty confirmed COVID-19 patients received their second NEGATIVE test results and were discharged on Sunday.

According to Makinde in a series tweets on Monday morning, this brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1120.

Giving an update via his official twitter handle, also said the COVID-19 confirmation tests for sixty-one suspected cases came back POSITIVE.

The cases are from Iseyin (14), Lagelu (7), Ibadan SW (7), Ogbomosho N (7), Ibadan N (6), Oyo E (5), Oluyole (4), Egbeda (3), Ibarapa Central (1), Ibadan NW (1), Ibadan NE (1), Ido (1), Ibadan SE (1), Ona Ara (1), Ogbomosho S (1) and Ogo Oluwa (1) Local Government Areas.

The governor stated that the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is now 2167 as at Monday.

He however advised residents to call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800 or visit a community-based testing centre, if they have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, loss of smell/taste and shortness of breath.
