An Indian and 36 Nigerian COVID-19 patients have today been discharged by the Lagos State government from the  various isolation centres in the state.
The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed this via his verified twitter account, said 19 of the latest  discharged patients were females while  18 were males.
A breakdown showed that five of the patients were discharged from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 25 from Onikan and 7 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) Isolation Centre after testing negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive test readings.
“With this, the total number of cases successfully managed and discharged from our isolation facilities has risen to 358”.
“What this indicates is that while our numbers of confirmed cases are rising, we are also maintaining a significant discharge rate of our active cases,” said Sanwo-Olu.
The state had also on Tuesday discharged 60 patients, the highest daily recoveries since the outbreak of the virus in February this year.
