Wandel International Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of the Simba group and sole distributor of TVS brand in Nigeria, recently unveiled a new brand of tricycle, TVS King Deluxe, Nigeria’s first tricycle with a break through Built-in MP3 player and FM radio.
Sunil Gondhali, Head of Business, Wandel international, told journalists recently in Lagos that TVS strategy has always been to be 2- steps ahead of competition when it comes to innovation.
Speaking further on the unveiling, Gondhali said, “Indeed in 2010 when TVS just introduced its first tricycle, we took the bold decision to launch a 4-stroke engine that gives better performance and environmental friendly in a 100 percent 2-stroke engine environment”.
According to him, TVS became the market leader in less than four years with focus on service activities and training of mechanics across Nigeria.
“In today’s challenging environment, TVS decided to literally change the game with the TVS KING DELUXE, that combines the best performances, a unique style and in-built music system,” Gondhali said.
Vinay Grover, Founder, Wandel International, in his opening remark said TVS King Deluxe responded to market demand to sustain market leadership in the sales and supply of ‘Keke’ in Nigeria.
Grover said, “Our Mission Statement is to develop and deliver locally relevant, contemporary innovative solution in partnership with global organizations to become the first choice of Nigerians. I am proud to say that the TVS KING DELUXE is the manifestation of our ambitions”.
According to him, the newly unveiled TVS KING DELUXE will set a new standard in the tricycle industry to sustain its market leadership position.
“End –users have always dreamt to have built-in stereo in tricycle, today we are at the edge when it comes to robustness and performance of the tricycle, so we needed to go the extra mile and provide these highly demanded extra features,” Grover said.
Other features of the TVS KING DELUXE tricycle includes mounted chassis bumper, wider and taller seats with lumber support, a new stylish car-like dashboard, and integrated wheel arcs.
