Oando introduces synthetic lubricant

Oando Marketing Plc., Nigeria’s largest Oil retailer is expanding its range of lubricant products with the introduction of its Synthetic Lubricant, known as Oleum SYN, for use with premium motor spirit based engines.

Oleum SYN is an Ultra High Performance passenger-car fully Synthetic Engine Oil scientifically formulated with ultimate cleansing technology and designed for the most advanced modern petrol engines including Turbo charged ones.

At The 9th annual Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL) Africa Downstream exhibition, Oando Marketing Plc. showcased its recently introduced Synthetic lubricant, Oando Oleum SYN, featuring a live demonstration oil change using a luxury vehicle and product lecture to inform and educate the OTL exhibition and conference participants.

Speaking at the OTL Africa conference, Lilian Ikokwu, head of Lubricants, Oando Marketing Plc., emphasized the company’s commitment to quality. She highlighted that as a renowned brand, sourcing and utilizing top quality raw materials for the formulation of our lubricant production process is vital and Oleum SYN formulated to meet the highest specifications.

Every litre of Oleum SYN is made of top quality base oils and additives; the output is certified by a highly equipped laboratory. What this means is that each time you purchase a bottle of Oando Oleum SYN, you are buying top quality grade in line with international and industry standards, she explained.

Dahiru Mohammed, Lubricant Research and Development Manager also reiterated that Oando Marketing has invested a lot in product development. “We have done a lot of research and market study to understand and meet consumer requirements in terms of reliability thereby ensuring the premium quality of our product, quality of caps, security involved, labels and eventually the seal on the bottle with regards to credit integrity”, he stated.

Oando Marketing has invested in 12 warehouses Pan Nigeria and Oleum SYN is sold through all stations and subsidiaries in West Africa, allowing product reach all parts of the country.

Oando marketing just recently changed the bottle to all lubricant ranges tagged the Transformer Bottle as a means of improving the product quality and packaging. According to the CEO Oando Downstream, Abayomi Awobokun, “We have invested in new production lines and upgraded our facility from a 9million litre capacity to 14million litre with all equipment optimized to improve efficiency”. He added that Oando Marketing is the first Nigerian company to attain SON’s Integrated Management System certification (IMS) combination of ISO 14001(environmental management system) and OHSAS 18001(Occupational health and safety management), hence a guarantee of quality production while ensuring safety of employees and preservation of the environment. This is what obtains internationally.
