Plaqad, a marketing and public relations software company has released a proprietary marketing platform that lets brands advance an affordable, data-driven campaign from start to finish.
The platform, which automates the entire campaign workflow, gives users the ability to find and hire talent and service providers, launch a campaign, track and measure campaign performance and process vendor payments— all in one place.
The new platform combines an online freelance marketplace with robust social media tracking analytics and an influencer platform to help brands run end-to-end social and web campaigns.
Buoyed by the growth in digital media, there has been an increase in the number of influencer platforms. The global influencer marketing platform market size is expected to grow from $ 5.5 billion in 2019 to$22.3 billion by 2024, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 32.4percent during the forecast period.
Adekunle Ayeni, Founder, Plaqad, said Plaqad was created from Africa, by an agency from a continent often overlooked, a country often stereotyped and people routinely profiled, noting that the new platform brings together the people, the tools, the products and resources required by businesses to run successful campaigns on a single platform, a feat rarely seen even in the developed world.

Ayeni further said the new platform was created to help brands and content creators solve key problems, while also sanitising the real from the fake, stressing that the company has a track record of producing customer-focused products.
“Our first tool, SocialCred calculates influence, it is the only such tool that measures and scientifically ranks social media credibility. The tool promotes transparency in influencer marketing and helps counter influencer fraud.”
Other successful products include Plaqadiq, deployed in the effective measuring of PR activities, with plans underway to develop other tools that would further help brands and practitioners to focus on the actual value of work done, rather than focus on vanity metrics.
Plaqad also launched an influencer compensation report two years ago.
The report is Sub-saharan Africa’s first and only report focused exclusively on researching and sharing insights on the workings of influencer remuneration in Africa’s largest economy.
Speaking on the new launch, Gbenga Sogbaike, Chief Executive Officer, Plaqad, said the new tool not only provides solutions but is a one-stop-shop for all things needed to pull off a successful marketing communications campaign, as there would be no need to use multiple 3rd party tools; provides only opt-in options, vetted membership for service providers, while payments are made in Naira.
According to Sogbaike, in a market where no new jobs are being created, Plaqad adds value to not just SMES/ SMBS by providing them with quality service providers regardless of the budget while also providing jobs to young creatives with its marketplace. The World Bank and Smallbiztrends put the total spending by MSMES in emerging markets on marketing at $43.2 billion annually.
The new launch will see Plaqad’s global market share expand to key markets in Africa, America, China, Europe, and the Middle East and North America.
