Lafarge Africa rewards exceptional trade partners

Lafarge Africa Plc, a foremost player in the building solutions sector has recognised its exceptional trade partners who contributed to the company’s growth and success in 2024.

Speaking at the event held recently in Lagos, with the theme Growing Beyond Limits, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, group managing director and CEO of the multinational company commended the resilience and unwavering support of the trading partners. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in overcoming challenges and driving progress in the construction industry.

“The Customers and Transporters Awards is a grand occasion to celebrate excellence and innovation. It is our unique way of honouring you as worthy partners of Lafarge Africa,” he said in a statement.

“We are proud of your integrity and trust in the face of fierce competition, economic realities, and unforeseen circumstances. You have always stood by us through thick and thin, taking the pledge to continue building blocks of progress with every sale and movement of our products, ensuring that we grow from strength to strength.”

Gbenga Onimow, the commercial director hailed the trade partners as “champions in trade,” highlighting their consistent dedication and contribution to shared success.

“Our relationship is one that is committed to growth in shared values and commitment to success—a movement where one pulls the other up the ladder in ascension,” he said.

Osaze Aghatise, logistics director, also according to the statement praised the company’s transport partners, acknowledging their role in maintaining high standards in service and delivery across the country.

The evening’s biggest recognition went to Etim Okon of Batoframoj E. Enterprises, who was named National Volume Champion and received a brand-new 2025 Toyota Prado. Other top winners included Igwe Ezeumeh Cosmas Chizoba of C.C. Umeh & Sons Ltd and Elder Ubong Obot of Ubotex Nig. Ltd, who received a 2025 Toyota Fortuner and Toyota RAV4 respectively, as first and second runners-up.

Several other partners were honored for their exceptional sales volumes, including representatives from Global SNCO, U. Mekason Trading Stores, Global 50:50 Concept Nig. Ltd, and more.

In the logistics category, Olayiwola Kazeem of Kaysky Nigeria Limited was named Best Overall Transporter of the Year. Julius Ben Construction and Abdlas Logistics Nigeria Limited also received regional transporter awards for the East and West respectively. Winners were rewarded with a variety of prizes, including SUVs, generators, cement, and mortar.

Speaking on the win, Etim Okon of Batoframoj E. Enterprises expressed heartfelt appreciation: “Receiving this award is not just a recognition of our efforts but a reminder that commitment, consistency, and collaboration truly pay off. We are proud to be part of Lafarge Africa’s journey and look forward to even greater achievements together.”

Similarly, Olayiwola Kazeem, CEO of Kaysky Nigeria Limited, honoured as Best Overall Transporter, shared their excitement: “This recognition means a great deal to us. It reflects the hard work of our team and the trust Lafarge has placed in us. We are inspired to continue delivering excellence and pushing the boundaries of service in the transport and logistics sector.”
