Nigeria’s leading Information Technology and Media firm, CherryBrooks Media will today, Thursday launch ‘Get Web Africa’ in Lagos. The project is designed to help growing enterprise with free online presence for one month. According to David Olumuyiwa Dada, the Chief Executive Officer of CherryBrooks Media, the initiative is to help businesses explore deeper opportunities that the internet offers for their trades. He said, “There is a huge difference between businesses that are online and those that are not; we want to encourage more Nigerian entrepreneur to take good advantage of what the internet provides for their profession.
“However, we have observed that most organizations are disappointed with a lot of web developers. So many Projects are abandoned, leaving many businesses frustrated. We have had to redesign more websites. In the last one year, we have redesigned over sixteen websites. This clearly shows that there is a problem.
This has also made businesses wary of online presence because of design and maintenance issues. So what we have done is to offer to design and maintain websites for organisations completely FREE, for thirty days. If you like it after the thirty days, then you can pay us otherwise, cancel and pay nothing. It is an obligation free offer. It will be on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis”
“We have some of the best IT professionals in the industry on our team, comprising of seasoned programmers, digital marketers, graphic artists, ethical hackers with over seventy years of experience amongst us and we would be churning out the best our team can offer per design. And we hope that after the expiration of the one month period these businesses would pick up the bills for the continual sustenance of such sites.”
He added that his team is ready for the deluge of requests for the time and they are hoping that they will not turn down many request. “We may have to turn down request to keep our organizational values intact; we believe in excellence and reliability and so to keep this in place we may have to streamline orders. However we have set daily and weekly goals for this project and hope that in six months we can successfully put as many businesses as possible online” he added.
