Courteville Business Solutions plc (CBS), a Nigerian e-business solutions provider, has received international recognition for its outstanding contribution to e-commerce and the advancement of digitally-focused education in Nigeria.
This time, the accolade is coming from Ravensbourne UK, a world-class university grade institution, which has announced the award of an honorary fellowship to Adebola Akindele, group managing director of Courteville Business Solutions, as part of Ravensbourne’s recognition of individuals who have made a real difference to their students, reputation, and profile.
This award comes on the heels of the recent launch of Relay, the first-ever e-learning education platform for certificate short-courses in creative and vocational disciplines in African, which incidentally is provided in conjunction with Ravensbourne.
Relay is designed to bring world-class, affordable, flexible and accessible education to youths in Nigeria and Anglophone Africa that are seeking vocational learning for modern creative industries at a further educational level. It has a principal focus on a good balance between theoretical studies and practical interaction, while being business-engage-focused to assist learners develop problem-solving skills through the use of collaborative processes and digital learning resources, which ultimately would improve their skills and increase employability in a changing globalised and increasingly digital economy.
The initial sets of courses that have been available on the e-learning platform since January 2014, are: Fashion Pattern Cutting, Fashion Promotion, Contemporary Web Design and Content Management, Interior Design and Film Edit and Post-Production.

Adebola Akindele, accompanied by his team, received the award from Robin Baker, a professor, (OBE), director/CEO of Ravensbourne, UK, in London at Ravensbourne’s Convocation (graduation) ceremony this year on Tuesday, July 22, at the IndigO2.
